Fleet:  Amadeus River Cruises boasts a fleet renowned for its elegance and sophistication.  Amadeus operates a fleet of 9 state-of-the-art river vessels, with a 10th coming online in 2024 that is all electric  (They actually sail 18 ships, but 10 are specific for the North American market).  Each ship is meticulously designed to provide an intimate and comfortable setting for passengers, blending luxury with the scenic beauty of the rivers they navigate.



Ownership:  Owned and operated by The Lüftner family, Amadeus River Cruises has been a prominent player in the river cruise industry for over 40 years. This family-owned business brings a legacy of commitment to excellence, ensuring a personalized and high-quality experience for every traveler.


Rivers Sailing:  As of 2024, Amadeus navigates some of the most iconic rivers in Europe, including the Danube, Rhine, Seine, and more. The diverse itineraries cater to different interests, ensuring a rich cultural experience.


Golf Specific Theme Cruise

Theme Cruises:  

  • Golf 2024 offers 4 Golf intensive cruises.  One is on the Rhine from Basel to Amsterdam with four different courses over an 8 Day cruise (see map above).  

  • Wine Cruise on June 22, 2024 for 9 Days


Wellness:  Amadeus on-board gym is included in the fare, which is open 24 hours a day and is equipped with high-quality training equipment. The joint early morning sport on the sun deck is ideal for an active start to the day.


Bicycles:  Available on all river cruise ships (with a few e-bikes).  Reservable onboard up to 24 hours in advance.  Many excursions offer Bicycling tours as a part of their program.



Shore Excursions: Optional with excellent value packages available (ex. $557pp for unlimited with an 8 day cruise)


Gratuities:  Cruise prices include gratuities for onboard staff and crew. 



Solo Supplement:  Variable, but starting at just a 15% supplement.  


WiFi:  Included


Alcoholic Beverages:  Beer and wine are complimentary with lunch and dinner.  Cocktail Reception, Welcome Dinner and Captain’s Gala.



Final Payment:  Unlike some brands, final invoice is due at 120 days prior to sailing.


Guests:  55% of our Guests are from North America and 45% are International with 90% English speaking


Family:  Discounts of 30% for children 5-17 years of age with second berth in adjoining cabin.



Sustainability:  Beginning in May 2024 the AMADEUS Nova will begin sailing as an All-Electric Ship.  In the spring of 2022, the AMADEUS fleet received the prestigious Green Award — a recognition of our industry leading performance in safety and environmental standards.
